Timothy Hanford, 49, is believed to have fatally shot his fiance, Carolyn (Hand) Eash, 57, in a home on the 800 block of Grantham Road in Upper Allen Township, Mechanicsburg, before turning the gun on himself, local officials said.
Their bodies were found by police performing a welfare check around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, Upper Allen police said.

Tim was a class of 1991 graduate of Williamsport Area Senior High School as well as a 1994 graduate of Accounting & Finance at PA College of Technology, according to his social media.
He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, backing, hunting, landscaping, vegetable gardening, and baseball, according to his Facebook bio.
He became engaged to Carolyn on April 11, 2023, according to a status update he shared.
He will not have a funeral, according to his mother Norma.

She was a West Perry High School class of 1983 graduate, according to social media.
Carolyn lost her beloved husband Jesse Dean Eash in 2021 after 29 years of marriage, according to his obituary.
The couple "loved horses, gardening, skiing, and bike riding. On weekends, they could often be found camping or watching Nascar," as stated in her obituary.
The pair worked at Fry Communications for over 30 years, until Jesse's retirement, according to his obituary.
"For the last two years, (Carolyn) has brightened the lives of the Postal Service employees at the Harrisburg USPS Distribution Plant," as stated in her obituary
She was also active with "Holiday Rambler RV Club, SSC Ski Club, and Zero Prostate Cancer Foundation," as stated in her obituary. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery, but "her favorite thing was to simply spend time with her loved ones."
Carolyn is survived by her sister Linda Durnin; nephew John; stepdaughter Kristen Eash Young (Matt); parents, Joyce Geesaman and Fred (Donna); siblings, Jennie Martin, Michelle Metz, Christine Ferringer, Leon Geesaman, and Lynette Geesaman; two stepbrothers, one stepsister, and her extended family, according to her obituary.
Details for Carolyn’s memorial services have not been released.
The family asks for donations to be made in Carolyn’s name to the Zero Prostate Cancer Foundation at zerocancer.org.
